Abstract

The purpose of this article is to verify the academic training that teachers at the secondary education level have for the design of innovative evaluation strategies in the teaching-learning process during the 2020-2021 school year, in the midst of the pandemic. Considering that the guidelines given by the Ministry of Popular Power for Education in Venezuela was to adopt distance education, it became necessary to adapt the evaluation strategies to the educational reality experienced in the country. We worked under the paradigm of qualitative research with a universe of 20 teachers from different training areas of the Liceo Nacional Eduardo Mathias Lossada. It was evidenced that the assertive design of evaluation strategies for the distance modality present in the school year is related to the updated academic training of the teachers interviewed, which allows concluding that through pedagogical research it is possible to innovate in suitable and pertinent evaluation strategies for a practical teaching-learning process, achieving the satisfaction of students trained to face the new stages ahead.
