Abstract

This work aim store view specialized publications released between 2020 and 2021 to answer the question: how did the Covid-19 pandemic impact the educational processes of students with disabilities at the elementary school level? The methodology was based on a search for researches published between 2020 and 2021 in the Scopus and Taylor and Francis databases, using the search terms "pandemic", "disability", "education", "pandemia", "discapacidad" y "educación" finding 182 articles.  Followed by the reading of titles, keywords and abstracts, selecting 64 texts. They were then read and analyzed, selecting 8 articles in english that were the subject of this review. Difficulties were found in caring for students with disabilities, characterized by the low number of teachers specialized in accompanying this population and the lack of accessible resources adapted to distance training strategies.  This added to the lack of training of parents, and care givers both for the development of pedagogical processes at home, as well as for the understanding of the activities and the use of digital platforms. It is concluded that the situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic made visible some of the inequities related to the pedagogical attention of students with disabilities. However, the strategies developed throughout the closure of schools offer possibilities to improve face-to-face care methodologies and propose effective strategies mediated by digital resources.
